Hondros

“HONDROS” delves into the professional journey and personal life of Chris Hondros, a distinguished war photographer. It offers an intimate view into the touching and often unexpected stories that accompany his most renowned photographs. Compelled by the desire to document modern warfare in the post-9/11 era, Chris emerged as a leading figure among the new wave of conflict photographers since the Vietnam War. The film also reflects on the challenges of balancing a normal life with over a decade of reporting from war zones. Additionally, it provides insight into the critical, life-altering decisions Chris had to make in the moment before and after capturing his powerful images. Although Chris tragically lost his life in Libya in 2011, his influence is still prominently felt in the field of photojournalism. Watch “Hondros” online.
