Indignation

Set in 1951, “Indignation” follows Marcus Messner, a Jewish student from a modest background in New Jersey, as he navigates his college life in a small Ohio town. At this institution, he faces the challenges of anti-Semitism, grapples with his own sexual repression, and is constantly reminded of the looming Korean War. The film beautifully captures the intense personal battles of its protagonist while set against the backdrop of a pivotal time in history.
