Johns

On the eve of Christmas and his 21st birthday, John, a prostitute on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, dreams of spending the night and the following day at the luxurious Park Plaza Hotel. To fund this, he has swiped cash from a local drug dealer, only to have his shoes—and the money inside—stolen while he’s asleep. Meanwhile, a new guy on the block, Donner, tries to convince John to join him on a journey to Camelot, a theme park in Branson, Missouri, where they can work as lifeguards. Throughout the day, John is caught up in a whirlwind of hustling for the hotel funds, dodging Jimmy the Warlock, appeasing his girlfriend, and contemplating Donner’s offer of friendship.
