Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

The 1999 direct-to-video film “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” mirrors the beloved Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, depicting Joseph’s life journey with a unique twist. Unlike its West End stage counterpart, this version introduces a brief framing device: actors initially appear as “teachers” in a school, seamlessly transforming “students” into the musical’s children’s chorus. Although originally intended for theatrical release, the production was filmed at Pinewood Studios in London during the early months of 1999 and made its debut directly on video. Watch it now.
