Jugni

Jugni, meaning Firefly, represents the rhythm of the soul and the spirit that soars freely. This essence is embodied by Vibhavari (Vibs), a budding music director on the brink of her first major opportunity in the Hindi film scene. As tensions escalate both professionally and personally with her live-in boyfriend, Sid, Vibs embarks on a hopeful pursuit to discover new music. Her quest leads her to a quaint village in Punjab in search of Bibi Saroop, a vocalist whose voice promises what Vibs seeks. However, destiny introduces her to Bibi’s son, Mastana, a talented singer who captivates Vibs on a deeper level. Jugni unfolds as a tale of finding equilibrium, making challenging choices, and navigating life’s unexpected turns to find a true home for the heart, where the spirit shines its brightest. That’s Jugni for you. To enjoy this heartwarming journey, you can stream Jugni (2016) online here.
