Kad svane dan

The narrative follows a retired music professor, Misha Brankov, who stumbles upon his genuine heritage under peculiar circumstances. A metal box filled with revealing documents is uncovered at a site that once held a Nazi concentration camp for Jews during World War II. It was hidden by an inmate named Isaac Weiss in 1941. Through these documents, Misha learns that his biological parents, the Weiss family, had entrusted him to the Brankovs before they were captured and taken to the camp. Among the items in the box is an incomplete musical work titled “When Day Breaks,” originally composed by Isaac Weiss. As Misha delves into his past, he uncovers the largely forgotten horrors of the Judenlager Semlin camp, a notorious Nazi execution ground located in modern-day Belgrade. Simultaneously, Misha feels driven to complete the composition begun by his father and dreams of performing it at the former camp site…a dream he ultimately realizes after overcoming numerous challenges.
