Kako: My Sullen Past

High school student Kako, played by Fumi Nikaido, resides in a family-operated restaurant in Kitashinagawa, Tokyo. Her seemingly routine life is turned upside down when her aunt Mikiko, portrayed by Kyoko Koizumi, makes an unforeseen return, despite the family believing she had died 18 years prior. This arrival stirs unease within the family, as it reminds them of an old scandal involving Mikiko, and Kako feels particularly annoyed having to share her room with her resurrected aunt as they navigate the summer together.
