On the fourth floor of a sprawling hospital, three spirited teenagers find joy amidst their battle with cancer in the children’s oncology ward. Nick, at 14, and Iwan, a year older at 15, each have lost a leg to bone cancer, while 16-year-old Olivier faces the looming possibility of amputation. Their close friend Pepijn, aged 15, often remains confined to his room due to severe illness and weakness. Despite the challenges, the teenagers’ friendship and zest for life keep their spirits high. Naturally, their fascination with attractive girls leads them to behave like typical teenagers, and they find humor in their predicament by calling themselves the “sickos.” Unable to walk, they instead embark on daring wheelchair stunts and joyrides along the hospital corridors.
