Kauboji

A group of mismatched individuals—six men and a woman, along with her brother—join forces with a singular mission: to stage a theater production. Under the leadership of Sasha, who has returned to his native town, these socially unadapted actors face personal demons and societal prejudices in a community where the sun amusingly sets in the east. Embracing the western genre’s clichés, such as the classic showdown between good and evil and the clash between civilization and untamed nature, they mold their personal narratives, inevitably impacting and transforming one another. As their endeavor increasingly resembles an insurmountable challenge, the troupe adopts the play as a metaphor for their own destinies, clutching it as a once-in-a-lifetime chance.
