Kemonomichi

Growing up in a small Japanese town, Ai is sent to live in a cult commune by her fervently religious mother, where she remains for seven years. Following a police raid that dismantles the cult, Ai embarks on the next chapter of her life by attending a regular school, but she struggles to fit in. Eventually, she withdraws from both school and society, choosing instead to live with a family of delinquents involved in criminal activities. Despite this, a surprising turn of events leads Ai to a new chapter with a middle-class family. Her chaotic past, however, continues to haunt her, guiding her life into deeper, shadowy alleys.
