Kicking Off

Kicking Off begins at the crucial match of the season. Enthusiastic supporters Wigsy and Cliff nervously witness their soccer team net the goal crucial for avoiding relegation. As euphoria engulfs the crowd, fans celebrate in a wave of joyous chants and tears. But this celebratory atmosphere quickly turns sour as the referee controversially nullifies the decisive goal. Fueled by adrenaline and rage, Wigsy and Cliff decide to intervene, with Cliff foolishly concocting a plan while under the influence. Predictably, Wigsy executes this ill-advised plan, leading to a nighttime misadventure that spells disaster for both of them. Ingeniously shot with split screens and slow-motion sequences, Kicking Off presents endearingly foolish characters that will make you chuckle and shake your head at their antics. This turn of events transforms the beautiful game into a strikingly ugly affair.
