Laura Smiles

“Laura Smiles” offers a strikingly vivid depiction of a woman spiraling into mental collapse. We first meet Laura in the midst of her happiest times, enveloped in the warmth of a tender relationship with her fiancé, portrayed charmingly by Kip Pardue. As the narrative unfolds in flashbacks, we witness the heartfelt evolution of this romance, presented as colorful, luminous fragments of memory which haunt her in later years. Consumed by guilt and regret over her fiancé’s tragic fate, these emotions increasingly overshadow her life as a wife and mother. Triggers from her everyday suburban routines, such as shopping, cooking, and watching a school play, stir these memories, leading her to react in an increasingly erratic manner. She struggles to differentiate her past, her present, and her dreams, evoking themes reminiscent of Blanche Du Bois. Watch Laura Smiles online free.
