Lazareth

After the passing of their parents, Lee takes responsibility for her nieces, Imogen and Maeve, nurturing them in seclusion within a forest cabin while a lethal pandemic rages in the outside world. For more than a decade, the sisters grow accustomed to never venturing beyond the woods, shunning any engagement with outsiders, and trusting Lee as their solitary link to the world they once knew. Lee has ingrained in the girls that this seclusion is their best hope for surviving the perilous, disease-ridden chaos outside. However, the sisters’ trust and understanding of reality are shaken when they stumble upon a wounded man nearby, causing Lee’s tight grip to falter and their understanding of safety to crumble. “Lazareth (2024)” is a must-watch.
