Local Color

In the film “Local Color” (2006), a seasoned artist fondly revisits the transformative summer of 1974. During this time, a gifted yet troubled 18-year-old aspiring painter forms a delicate bond with an aging, alcoholic artist who has distanced himself from both his craft and life. Initially seeming fragile, their relationship flourishes as the young artist seeks to uncover the profound knowledge buried within the old master’s mind and soul. Life hasn’t been generous to the elder, but the boy’s presence reignites his passion and eventually instills a fresh purpose in him. Through their connection, each offers the other an invaluable gift: the young artist begins to interpret the world through the master’s experienced perspective, while the elder re-experiences life with youthful wonder. This narrative draws inspiration from actual events. “Local Color” is streaming. You can watch it online for free here on cineby and 123Movies.
