Lost In White

Set in the chilly northeast of China, “Lost in White” unfolds with the discovery of two bodies beneath a frozen lake, rendered unrecognizable by voracious fish, yet distinctly marked by an ice hook’s drag. Captain Zhou, played by Tony Leung Ka Fai, takes the lead on the case, accompanied by his teenage daughter Xinyi, portrayed by Zhou Dongyu. Meanwhile, young Shanghai detective Wang Hao, played by Tong Dawei, arrives in town chasing a missing person lead that steers him to the same locale of the murders. It soon becomes evident that the two cases are intertwined: the missing person and the murder victims belonged to a group of four businessmen who a decade ago initiated a refinery project in the area. Their unethical disposal of chemical waste corrupted the waters, resulting in birth defects over the years. Could the missing entrepreneur be the perpetrator, a subsequent target, or merely a misleading clue? Watch “Lost in White” online.
