Lucky Country

In the year 1902, the Australian Federation is in its infancy. Twelve-year-old Tom and his sister, Sarah, are uprooted by their father, Nat, to live on a secluded farm bordering dense woods. Unfortunately, Nat’s vision of self-sustaining rural life has withered, leading to his mental decline. When three former soldiers show up at their cabin one night, Tom sees them as a godsend, much like his father once did. Watch Lucky Country (2009). It’s available to stream online for free.
