Mariquina

Embracing a nostalgic tale, “Mariquina (2014)” unfolds the poignant story of Imelda, who, quite unlike the famous Philippine First Lady, holds a complex indifference towards shoes. Her childhood memories entwine with the bittersweet essence of handmade shoes crafted by her shoemaker father, Romeo, forming a tapestry of strained familial ties. In adulthood, a significant call from the morgue rekindles her quest for the ideal shoes for her late father, becoming a metaphorical journey of self-discovery. As Imelda delves deeper into her past for that perfect pair, she truly begins to uncover her own identity. Watch “Mariquina (2014)” free on cineby or 123Movies.
