Marrying Mr. Darcy

In the delightful follow-up to their initial encounter at a Washington, D.C., dog show, six months later, schoolteacher Elizabeth Scott and businessman Donovan Darcy are happily in love and newly engaged. Donovan agrees to Elizabeth’s desire for a small autumn wedding, which she plans to orchestrate with the assistance of her mother and sister. Once Donovan’s formerly disapproving Aunt Violet extends a sincere apology for her previous conduct, Elizabeth is pleased to include her in the wedding preparations. However, as weeks pass and the wedding plans become more extravagant, Elizabeth starts to feel the pressure of the expectations awaiting her as Mrs. Darcy. Compounding her stress is Donovan’s increasing preoccupation with his work, leading to his frequent unavailability. With their differing backgrounds and dispositions once more at the forefront, Elizabeth starts to question whether she should indeed marry Mr. Darcy. “Marrying Mr. Darcy (2018)” is available to watch right here.
