Me, Myself and Mum

What does it take to carve one’s path to manhood when your mother and those closest to you have other plans? This is the question Guillaume seeks to answer. The film narrates the comically tragic journey of Guillaume, starting when he’s just eight, playing roles first as a girl, then as a gay man, until he reaches 30 and encounters the woman who will become a significant figure in his life, alongside his mother. It’s a tale of a unique coming-of-age experience and a heterosexual coming-out, illustrating the journey of an actor who has always had an intense love for women.
