Meltdown

“Meltdown” (2014) is a captivating Zombie/Comedy film that deftly blends elements of “Shaun of the Dead” and “Mad Max.” Originating from a celebrated short film by Jake Mulliken and Lucky4Productions, which earned them the RAW Artists’ Pittsburgh Film Maker of the Year award in November 2013, this movie expands their vision remarkably. The narrative follows a group of friends—Zeke, played by Robert McMurray, Callie by Alicia Marie Marcucci, Les by Seth Gontkovic, and Hunter by Jake Mulliken—as they gather for what they believe to be an ordinary day, celebrating Hunter’s 29th birthday in their quiet town of Somerset. However, their mundane day spirals into chaos when those they know transform into vicious, cannibalistic creatures. This forces them into a brutal fight for survival, navigating hordes of undead foes, including once-beloved friends and family, in a dystopian landscape fraught with peril. “Meltdown” is available to stream for free right here on cineby and 123Movies.
