Mio on the Shore

At 20 years of age, Mio has already faced significant challenges. After losing her parents when she was young, she helps her grandmother manage a classic inn in Nagano. When her grandmother falls ill, Mio relocates to Tokyo to live with Kyosuke, her late father’s close friend. Kyosuke is in charge of a public bath where Mio starts to work, but the bathhouse is slated for demolition in favor of urban development. “Mio on the Shore (2019)” can be streamed online right here.
