My Wife Is 18

After completing the open exams for fifth form students and applying for her adult ID card, eighteen-year-old Yoyo heads to London to meet a man her well-meaning parents have introduced her to. The man, Cheung, is in his thirties, and there’s a twist: Yoyo’s and Cheung’s grandfathers were wartime friends who promised to have their future children wed each other. However, both children turned out to be girls, and are now mothers themselves. The two mothers reconnect and seek to fulfill their fathers’ wishes, thus arranging a meeting between Yoyo and Cheung in London. To placate their mothers, Yoyo and Cheung agree to marry, but they also sign a divorce agreement set to take effect a year post-nuptials. Catch “My Wife Is 18 (2002)” today!
