Neds

“Neds” (2010) is a compelling narrative that follows a young man’s transformation from an acclaimed student to a troubled teenager wielding a knife. Within an environment riddled with low expectations, John McGill evolves from being a passive victim to a determined avenger, shifting his identity from a diligent scholar to a Non-Educated Delinquent, and from an altar boy to someone caught in the grip of substance abuse. His efforts to revert to his former self clash with the harsh truths of his surroundings and his turbulent history, making a return to normalcy difficult and violent independence an almost certain path.
