New Alcatraz

In the thrilling film “New Alcatraz” (2001), audiences are introduced to paleontologist Robert Trenton, played by Dean Cain, who is summoned to the frigid terrains of Northeastern Antarctica. His mission is to assist the FBI in the construction of a subterranean high-security military base and prison, which is tasked with containing the globe’s most notorious criminals and terrorists. Known among the staff as “New Alcatraz,” this prison becomes the stage for an unexpected nightmare. During its construction, workers inadvertently awaken a colossal prehistoric Boa Constrictor from a lengthy 200-year slumber. Initially unnoticed, the snake reveals its presence when a gargantuan hole appears in the five-foot-thick concrete walls of the facility. Panic ensues as both staff and inmates mysteriously vanish, becoming prey to the formidable creature. With limited weapons at their disposal, the FBI agents, Trenton, and surviving prisoners strive to flee but inch closer to despair as their numbers dwindle. Eventually, Trenton devises a plan to destroy the snake underground and escapes to the surface alongside his wife, the sole other survivor.
