North Sea Texas

Set on the Flanders coast, “North Sea Texas (2011)” tells the story of Pim, a young boy residing with his mother, Yvette Bulteel, in a dilapidated home on a secluded street. Their life is marked by the lingering scents of cold French fries, cheap cigarettes, and stale beer, while Yvette relies on her friend, Etienne, and his worn-out Fiat to drive her when she needs to “perform” at night. In his childhood, Pim fantasizes about a world filled with princesses and beauty queens, but his dreams shift when he turns 16, centering on Gino, the attractive boy next door. Since their early years, a palpable tension has existed between Pim and Gino, who is now Pim’s motorcycling idol. Pim’s life oscillates between cold mockery, minor humiliations, and fleeting moments of hope, prompting him to often escape into his daydreams. Discover “North Sea Texas (2011)” online.
