Set against the backdrop of 1940s Hong Kong during Japanese occupation, “Our Time Will Come (2017)” tells the compelling story of Fang Lan, a schoolteacher who becomes involved with the Dongjiang guerrilla group’s resistance efforts. Fang joins the resistance after aiding their captain, Blackie Lau, in rescuing novelist Mao Dun. As tensions escalate, Fang’s mother steps in as a courier for a mission but gets captured.
