Overlord Movie 1: The Undead King

Set in the year 2138, the world sees an explosion in virtual reality gaming. Yggdrasil, once a thriving online game, is suddenly closed. Yet, one player, Momonga, remains in the game and does not log out. He morphs into a skeleton, recognized as “the most powerful wizard.” As the dynamics shift, the once-static non-player characters (NPCs) begin to experience emotions. With no ties to family, friends, or society, the unassuming young man, Momonga, seizes the chance to dominate the new world that the game has evolved into. Overlord Movie 1: The Undead King (2017) presents this gripping narrative of virtual conquest.
