Promised

In the year 1953, two Italian youngsters find themselves betrothed through an agreement made by their fathers. Fast forward twenty-one years, with societal norms evolving and the wave of 70’s liberation sweeping over them, the two are still bound by the promise of marriage. However, it’s not just about love but adhering to the expectations of a bygone era, or facing the repercussions. “Promised (2019)” is available for streaming.
