In the distant future, specifically the year 2XXX, Keiko Town stands as a heavily industrialized area dominated by soot-covered factories that shroud it in constant gloom. The townsfolk lead lives of grim monotony, wandering aimlessly, enveloped by a pervasive sense of hopelessness. Hidden away in a derelict factory on the town’s outskirts, the clandestine headquarters of the Hikari Club emerges. This group of teenage boys bears a deep-seated resentment towards the adult population, aiming to cleanse their world of perceived evil through the construction of a machine infused with artificial intelligence, known as “Litchi”. As the boys approach adolescence, their once-stable existence teeters on the brink of collapse in their quest for radical change. Raichi Hikari kurabu (2016) is available to watch online.
