Raiders!: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made

Back in 1982, a trio of 11-year-old friends from Mississippi embarked on an ambitious project: to recreate their beloved movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Their journey spanned seven eventful years, testing their friendship’s resilience and nearly causing a disaster when their enthusiasm almost resulted in their mother’s house burning down. Remarkably, they managed to film every scene, except for the thrilling airplane explosion. Fast forward 30 years, these childhood friends reunite with the ambition to fulfill their youthful dream by constructing a 75-foot “Flying Wing” plane from the iconic movie, deep in the Mississippi backwoods mud, and ultimately watch it explode.
