Ringside

In “Ringside” (2016), Jaxon is an up-and-coming star in the challenging realm of professional boxing. Despite his middle-class background and education, which raise questions about his credibility and ability to face his next opponent—the current champion—he remains steadfast. As Jaxon prepares for the title fight, his journey becomes tumultuous due to Spencer “Timber” Collier, a trash-talking champion known for his steroid use, played by Allen Maldonado from “Straight Outta Compton” and “Black-ish.” The pressure is immense with family issues, attention-seeking fans, and a manager plagued by gambling issues, all trying to distract him from clinching the championship. Amidst these challenges, Jaxon finds solace in Endira, a stunning photographer played by Raney Branch from “The Originals” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” who holds a heartbreaking secret while capturing his heart.
