Riot

In 1978, a stagnation in the effort to decriminalize homosexuality spurs a band of determined activists to take decisive action in asserting their identity. Under the leadership of ex-union leader Lance Gowland, they secure a police permit and broadcast their intentions. On a chilly winter evening, adorned in colorful costumes, they march hand in hand down Oxford Street. Unbeknownst to them, hostile police lie in wait, yet the bravery they summon that night manages to galvanize an entire nation.
