A.N.T. Farm

A.N.T. Farm is a Disney Channel comedy series that debuted with a special episode on May 6, 2011, and continued as a regular show from June 17, 2011 onwards. The pilot, “transplANTed,” was shown right after the final episode of The Suite Life on Deck. Dan Signer, who was a former writer and co-executive producer of The Suite Life on Deck and created the Disney XD show Mr. Young, developed the series. In mid-November 2010, Disney Channel approved the series and began production at the start of 2011. The first promotional video made its debut during the Lemonade Mouth premiere. Set in San Francisco, the show features China Anne McClain, Sierra McCormick, and Jake Short as middle school students in a special gifted program at their high school known as the “Advanced Natural Talent” or “A.N.T.” initiative. The Disney Channel gave the green light for A.N.T. Farm’s second season on November 30, 2011, which kicked off with two episodes on June 1, 2012. Further extending its run, Disney Channel renewed the show for a third season on October 2, 2012, launching it with a one-hour special on May 31, 2013, although Carlon Jeffery did not return, and Aedin Mincks joined the main cast.
