Brass Eye

Brass Eye is a British TV series that parodies news magazines with clever satire. The show, consisting of six episodes in 1997 with an additional episode in 2001, aired on Channel 4. Chris Morris, the mastermind behind the series, co-wrote the show along with talented writers David Quantick, Peter Baynham, Jane Bussmann, Arthur Mathews, and Graham Linehan. Directed by Michael Cumming, Brass Eye follows in the footsteps of Morris’s previous spoof news programs, On the Hour and The Day Today, effectively lampooning how the media exaggerates social issues and stirs up moral panics. The cast features familiar faces like Doon MacKichan, who worked with Morris on The Day Today, alongside Gina McKee, Mark Heap, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis, and Kevin Eldon.
