Here We Go Again

For the women in the Walker family, the number 16 brings more hexes than sweetness, as Maddy Walker, a single mom, firmly believes in the “Walker women’s curse.” Her conviction stems from her mother, Loretta, having her at 16, and Maddy herself giving birth to her daughter, Shante, at the same age. As Shante’s 16th birthday nears, Maddy is determined to break this cycle. The situation takes a twist during Shante’s sweet 16 celebration, when Maddy sees her high school sweetheart, who is also Shante’s father, Victor, reigniting past emotions and leading to a brief romance. This indiscretion results in Maddy discovering, at 32, an unexpected pregnancy with Victor once more. As the family navigates the tumult of this new pregnancy, they realize that new beginnings might be less daunting than they thought. Here We Go Again (2016) can be streamed online.
