Inspector Gadget

Inspector Gadget is an animated TV series that follows the escapades of a bumbling, absent-minded cyborg detective named Inspector Gadget. This character is equipped with numerous bionic gadgets integrated into his body, which he uses, often clumsily, to thwart his main adversary, Dr. Claw, the head of the nefarious “M.A.D.” organization. As the first syndicated cartoon show from DIC Entertainment, it originally aired from 1983 to 1986 and continued to be popular through syndication well into the late 1990s. Its global appeal is evident as it continues to captivate audiences in reruns worldwide.

Produced through an international collaboration, France and Canada’s DIC Entertainment and Nelvana led the project, while animation efforts were carried out by Tokyo Movie Shinsha in Japan and Cuckoo’s Nest Studio in Taiwan. Notably, it was the pioneering animated TV series to be broadcast in stereo. Watch Inspector Gadget for free!
