Lexx

Lexx is a science fiction series that chronicles the escapades of a diverse crew aboard the living spaceship, Lexx, as they journey through dual universes and explore worlds, including a satirical take on Earth. This show is a collaborative effort between Canadian and German producers, with extra financial backing from Britain’s Channel 5. Eventually, the Sci Fi Channel acquired the series from Salter Street Films and began showing Season 2 episodes tailored for the U.S. audience in January 2000. The series’ production was overseen by Salter Street Films, which was later integrated into Alliance Atlantis. In Canada, Lexx had its run on the Showcase network, owned by Alliance Atlantis. Filming primarily took place in Halifax and Berlin, with additional scenes shot in locations like Iceland, Bangkok, and Namibia.
