Living Single

Living Single is a classic American sitcom that aired on the Fox network for five seasons, from August 22, 1993, to January 1, 1998. The series revolves around a group of six friends navigating their personal and professional lives while residing in a Brooklyn brownstone. Praised for its representation, Living Single was a staple in African-American households, consistently ranking among the top five popular shows within this demographic throughout its run. Produced by Yvette Lee Bowser under Sister Lee and Warner Bros. Television, the show stood out as a cultural icon. While NBC’s “Must See TV” dominated many homes, Fox captured African American and Latino audiences on Thursday nights with hits like Martin, Living Single, and New York Undercover, making these three the top-rated series in black households for the 1996-1997 season.
