Max Steel

Overview
Max Steel is a CGI-animated science fiction action series inspired by the Mattel action figure and initially broadcast from February 25, 2000, to January 15, 2002. It spanned three seasons with thirty-five episodes primarily targeting boys aged eight to twelve. A series of direct-to-DVD movies from 2004 to 2012 kept the character vibrant, but only the first film adhered closely to the original series storyline, a continuity that was changed thereafter, especially post-“Endangered Species.” Notably, the voice cast included Chi McBride, Christian Campbell—Neve Campbell’s older brother—and sports icon Tony Hawk. Following the bankruptcy of Netter Digital and Foundation Imaging, Mainframe Entertainment managed the third season and subsequent movies. “Truth Be Told” was the series finale, and Max Steel distinguished itself as the pioneering computer-generated show on Kids’ WB. The series has been rebooted on Disney XD with significant changes to both characters and plot lines.
