Men in Trees

“Men in Trees” is a delightful American romantic comedy-drama series that aired its premiere on September 12, 2006, on ABC, featuring Anne Heche in the role of Marin Frist, a relationship coach. The series is set against the backdrop of the quaint, fictional town of Elmo, Alaska, as it follows Marin’s amusing and often tumultuous romantic escapades. While drawing comparisons to the HBO hit “Sex and the City” for its female-centered romantic themes, Marin’s journey through this quaint Alaskan town echoes the “fish-out-of-water” vibes similar to the CBS classic “Northern Exposure,” with both protagonists being New Yorkers navigating the quirks of small-town Alaskan life. The production was filmed in Squamish, British Columbia. Catch all the episodes here. Unseen episodes of the first season found their way to New Zealand’s TV2 network by mid-2007, eventually returning to ABC in late October to segue into the second season. Though “Men in Trees” saw its cancellation on May 4, 2008, audiences could still savor its concluding episodes during the summer of that year. Enjoy the full series now.
