Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

Set in Post Disaster 323, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (2015) explores the universe 300 years after the conclusion of a devastating conflict between Earth and Mars, known as the “Calamity War.” Despite Mars being successfully terraformed and colonized by humans, its inhabitants yearn for freedom from Earth’s governance to better their lives. Although Mars has gained some autonomy, its economy remains heavily reliant on Earth. Mikazuki Augus, a young orphan, is involved with Chryse Guard Security, a civilian company responsible for protecting Martian Princess Kudelia Aina Bernstein, who aspires for Chryse’s independence. When the Earth-based military group Gjallarhorn attacks to quash this independence movement, Orga Itsuka, the leader of Mikazuki’s faction within Chryse Guard, rebels against the adult leaders who fled, leaving the children behind. Amidst this chaos, Augus faces a crucial decision between standing with his friends or following his mission, while he encounters the legendary mobile suit, Gundam Barbatos.
