North & South

Margaret Hale, originally from a rural southern parish, relocates to the bustling, industrial northern town of Milton. Facing culture shock, she initially misinterprets the intentions of John Thornton, the charismatic owner of a local cotton mill, whose determination and fervor rival her own spirited nature. As labor unrest leads to a strike, Margaret aligns herself with the workers, intensifying her clash with Thornton. However, amidst the turmoil, Margaret finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Thornton.
