Police Squad!

Police Squad! is a comedic television series that originally aired in 1982. Created by the talented trio of David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker, and starring the legendary Leslie Nielsen, the show cleverly parodies traditional police procedurals. It is renowned for its distinct visual slapstick, clever wordplay, and unexpected non sequiturs. Drawing inspiration from series like Lee Marvin’s M Squad and the late 1960s Felony Squad, it both borrowed from and spoofed the genre’s conventions. Despite being cut short after just six episodes, it led to the highly successful Naked Gun film franchise. In 2013, TV Guide lauded it as one of the top shows that ended too soon, ranking it #7 on their list. Police Squad! is a must-watch! You can now stream Police Squad! online for free right here.
