Sound! Euphonium

After a bad experience at the middle school regional brass band competition, euphonium player Kumiko Oumae is determined to leave music behind as she starts high school. However, destiny seems to have other plans as she finds herself among fellow students keen on reviving the high school brass band. Inspired by her companions, Kumiko rekindles her passion for music, aided by new friends like novice tubist Hazuki Katou, experienced contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima, and fellow euphonist and band vice president Asuka Tanaka. She is also reunited with familiar faces such as her childhood friend and trombonist Shuuichi Tsukamoto, and middle school bandmate and trumpeter Reina Kousaka.

Within the band, disarray is apparent. Even as they aim to reach the national competition, simply participating in the local festival seems daunting without intervention from their new band advisor, Noboru Taki. The series from Kyoto Animation, known for Suzuki Haruhi no Yuuutsu, presents “Sound! Euphonium” in a refreshing and melodic exploration of young students navigating their past, seeking romance, and pursuing their dreams.
