The Carmichael Show

Created by Jerrod Carmichael and Nick Stoller (“Neighbors”), this sharp sitcom revolves around Jerrod’s life, highlighting his frank father, his girlfriend Maxine who’s training to be a therapist, his ambitious brother, and a mother devoted to her faith. As Jerrod and Maxine decide to cohabit, they find themselves as a typical young couple aiming to thrive in the city. They’re intelligent and driven, striving for a fulfilling life, but familial dynamics present challenges. The lively presence of Jerrod’s brother, Bobby (played by Lil Rel Howery), along with their zealous parents (portrayed by David Alan Grier and Loretta Devine), keep Jerrod and Maxine constantly juggling their love life, family, and mental peace.
