The McCarthys

The McCarthys (2014) is a multi-camera sitcom set in Boston, focusing on a tight-knit family that obsesses over sports. Ronny, the son who isn’t exactly athletically gifted, finds himself surprised when his father picks him to become the assistant coach for a high school basketball team, leaving his more qualified siblings in shock. While his heart yearns to join the singles scene and find true love away from home, Ronny’s mother, Marjorie, is more upset about his potential departure from Boston than about her favorite son being gay. Just when Ronny is preparing for his big move, his outspoken father, Arthur, changes everything with his unexpected coaching offer. This newfound opportunity takes Ronny on an uncharted path, where he is certain to get plenty of opinions from his vocal family, including his lively twin brothers, Sean and Gerard, and his sister Jackie.
