The Spectacular Spider-Man

The Spectacular Spider-Man is an American animated series that revolves around the iconic superhero from Marvel Comics, crafted for the small screen by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. This show captures the essence of the original stories by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, blending action, drama, and comedy in a high school backdrop. It cleverly integrates elements from different comic book eras and other adaptations like the film series and the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. Debuting on March 8, 2008, during the Kids’ WB slot on The CW, The Spectacular Spider-Man received widespread praise. The series’ second season aired on Disney XD in the U.S., concluding on November 18, 2009, with continued positive ratings. While a third season was envisioned, the show was unfortunately canceled prior to the commencement of its production. Watch the series online.
