What Would You Do?

“What Would You Do? (2008)” is a compelling American television series combining a news magazine format with hidden camera setups. In each episode, actors perform scenarios involving disputes or unlawful acts in public spaces as concealed cameras capture the reactions of those nearby. The show investigates whether or not onlookers choose to intervene and explores their responses. Often, the scenes are modified by altering the actors’ gender, race, or attire to observe if these changes affect the reactions of bystanders. After the scenario, host John Quiñones steps in to speak with those who witnessed the event, gaining insight into their thoughts and feelings. Throughout the episode, the footage is examined by psychology experts, educators, or club members, who provide commentary and infer the motives behind the bystanders’ actions. Watch on cineby.
