Maureen is expecting a child, but her husband, Eddie, has disappeared. Anxious and alone, Maureen ends up having a few drinks with her neighbor Kiefer, who assaults her. When Eddie eventually returns and sees Maureen injured, he loses control, shoots a paramedic, and lands in a mental facility. After a decade, Eddie is released and learns that Maureen has moved on, remarrying and raising three kids, including their daughter, Jeanie. Desperate to win Maureen back, Eddie re-enters her life.
