Sik-gaek: Kim-chi-jeon-jaeng

In “Le Grand Chef 2,” we witness a diplomatic encounter with a twist as the Korean president’s visit to the Japanese Prime Minister spirals into an intense argument about the true origins of kimchi. The debate intensifies when the Japanese leader audaciously declares kimchi a native Japanese creation, infuriating the Korean counterpart. Prompted by this controversial claim, the Korean president returns home with a mission to elevate the status of kimchi worldwide, launching a grand “Kimchi Contest” across the nation. This contest draws the attention of Jang-eun (Kim Jung-Eun) and her step-brother Sung-Chan (Jin Goo), who enter the fray, each hoping to win using their treasured mother’s kimchi recipe.
